I always get clients who love the look of liquid eyeliner, but just can't seem to keep their hand steady enough to draw it on themselves. I actually have the same problem - I can do it perfectly on other people, but on me, not so much. Enter Lorac's new Front of the Line Waterproof Eyeliner, which comes in black, brown or dark green and looks exactly like a felt-tip pen. It draws like one, too. The stiff tip makes a cat-eye really easy and once it dries, it STAYS. Ah, I love perfect newness. Now, if only I could get miss Amy Winehouse to back down a little from hers. Sigh.

It's easy being green...
... or greenish-blue, when you're my mom. I just got back from the O.C., where I got to see my parents and a few more of my favorite people while I was there. I love my mom's style of doing her makeup, which is hers and hers alone - and it usually involves liberal amounts of whatever eyeliner she's using that day. Luckily, she goes for Lancome's Le Crayon Khol in Black Lapis (a dark, greenish-blue hue) quite a bit, and I love it. Check it out.
Brushing up on a new look
Oh, how I want Smashbox's new makeup brushes, part of their Fall 2007 Decadence collection. Not only do they feature some really beautiful graphite shiny handles, they come in a gorgeous black fuzzy case. I've always loved Smashbox brushes - I have many of them in my kit and I can really rely on them to last forever and give great results.
