So I can't exactly see anything reflected in my hair as of yet, but I have to say, it's coming pretty close. I got my hands on Frederic Fekkai's new Salon Glaze Clear Shine Rinse, and after using it just once I'm very happy with the results. I'm in that stage where I'm just about ready to get my hair colored again, and this really boosted the color and the shine. I've used some of the color-boost glazes, and this does the trick even though it doesn't actually deposit any color. You could use this every day, according to the bottle, but I'd say it's more like a really great weekly treatment in between colorings. Even if you don't color your hair (is there really anyone still out there who doesn't?) this would probably just make your hair look a lot healthier.

Creamy goodness
I don't usually like cream eyeshadows. I've tried so many that end up creasing or getting all greasy in a few hours. But these cream shadow/liners from Benefit are the best ones I've tried in a long time. They come in great colors (Skinny Jeans is a pretty pewter you can use as a liner, R.S.V.P. is the perfect champagne base color) and really stay smooth and true. They're great on their own or as a base for other powder colors. I'm hooked.

Hi, my name is matte
The last few days have reminded me of what summer in NYC is - sticky, sticky and icky. Mix that humidity and my oily skin and you've got the chemical formula for major makeup meltdown. I've been trying Yves Saint Laurent's Matt Touch Oil Free as my makeup base for a few days now and I give it a thumbs-up. It goes on as a sheer layer and really controls oil throughout the day, plus it helped my foundation stay on very well. It's one of the best primers I've tried.
